Photovoltaic Training Agenda

• Solar Training Overview: Product deep-dives and NABCEP accreditation credits.
• Vendors: SolarWorld, Quick Mount PV, SMA.
• SolarWorld Overview: High-efficiency Sunmodules, Sunkits, Authorized Installer Program, and installation best practices.
• Quick Mount PV: History of mounting systems, roofing codes, and maintaining roof warranties.
• SMA Inverters: New inverter technology, Sunkits, and hands-on demos.

Entry Level Photovoltaic Installer Training

A comprehensive 13-week course designed to provide the classroom instruction and hands-on experience needed to become a certified solar electric installer.

Course Highlights

• Certification: Graduates receive a Certificate of Employability and OSHA 10 certification.
• Internship: Opportunity to interview for a paid internship with a Solar PV installation company.
• NABCEP Prep: Eligibility to sit for the NABCEP PV Entry Level Exam.
• Grant Funded: This opportunity is made possible by a NYSERDA grant awarded to Questar III BOCES.
